Q: Are stem cell transplants safe?
A: We use hematopoietic stem or progenitors cells routinely in practice for treatment of hematologic malignancies as autologous or allogeneic bone marrow transplantation. Their use in this particular domain is safe.
Using autologous immune cells and adipose stem cells is safe, too. However, if we use the cultured cells, we need to make sure undergone a manufacturing process in a licensed facility safe.
